Nostalgy of the Belle Epoque, a reconstitution of a cinema room brings us back to soon XXth Century -molds of staff, 30 genuines seats, and a perfectly conserved pianola an ancestor bought in 1905. Over 200 sound tracks are at disposal (Strauss, Chopin, Offenbach, etc.) and you can always ask for it. The auditorium also has a screen to project wide-screen CDs (2Mx2M) of satellite channels.

Rural Chapel Le Versadou

The Mas du Versadou was built on a land which belonged to the Abbey of Saint-Gilles. During the Revolution, these were caught and sold by the Nation. As they were goods of the Church, Catholics couldn't buy it without being excommunicated. Hence, most of the Mas were owned by Protestant families after the Revolution. Later, as Catholics bought some domains during the 19th Century, they sometimes founded rural chapels, as the one in Le Versadou. They were mostly active during wine harvests and crops.

IMPERATOR

The Imperator room, furnished in Roman style, has a 160cm-wide bed and a bathroom with toilets and a sink of Roman origin.
The room has an an exclusive way to the Roman baths, and these are only open to the hosts of this room from 21pm to the next morning.
Cost : €145 a day.
It includes breakfasts (served in the Roman tavern and the dining room of the mas), as well as the use of the Roman baths.

Our B&B's in Le Versadou have a whole peculiar flair reminding of the history of the mas, from Roman days to ours, in a wide and preserved Camarguese environment. The rooms all have free access to the pool in a park, surrounded by rice fields and pastures for horses, and make it possible to discover and use -on booking- the reconstitution of Roman baths. Breakfasts are served in the Roman tavern or on the sunny terrace, where you may enjoy a panoramic view to the Petite-Camargue and the Petit-Rhone river.
